I wanted to document all the assets that I made for my latest project. There's too many of them to include them all in one post, so there's gonna be a part 2.
Leafs material shared with other ivys, foliage on the model done in speedTree. LOD2 has 9334 triangles
2 triangles per leaf. 3 UV channels, 2 for movement
LOD3 has 1979 tris
LOD3 has 3120 triangles
Huge density, very simple geometry per island, only 1 triangle, otherwise it wouldn't fit performance budget
LOD3 has 1638 triangles
This one was done in speed tree, I tried to make leafs dense enough so I can ignore modeling all the branches and leafs inside
LOD2 has 1294 triangles
LOD2 = 2158 tris
Leafs material shared for all the ivys in the scene
Last LOD for each foliage piece is pretty much 1/6 of it's original poly count
Each leaf has 2 triangles, heaviest model in the scene
Last LOD for each foliage piece is pretty much 1/4 of it's original poly count
LOD2 = 5659 tris
LODs 2 for all the models above have 922 triangles
LOD2 has 944 triangles
LODs 2 = 224 triangles
LOD2 has 1526 tris
Curtains done in Marvelous Designer
LOD2 has 3520 tris
LOD2 = 3462, whole table is mirrored on each side when it comes to UVs
Last LOD has 1279 tris, separated all the sharp edges on the UVs so it doesn't show visible seams in engine
LODs 2 in summary have 1924 tris
Last LOD has 2828 tris
Very simple grass, one triangle per texture island. I tried to make it very dense so it won't look blocky
LOD2 has 2399 tris
LOD2 = 2448 tris
2 triangles per leaf, branch underneath is the heavy part when it comes to triangles, it's culled in LOD1, so the polycount drop to 7431 tris
